If you have seen a mortgage product on our website and want to apply, or you simply want to know more, we will help you every step of the way. This is what you need to do next.

If you know which mortgage product you want to apply for, you can download a mortgage application form now.

For your own benefit and protection, before you complete the application form, you should read the full product terms and conditions carefully. If you do not understand at any point or if you need any help filling in this form, please email us or telephone a member of our mortgage team on 01325 487171 during office hours.

You will need to send in some documents with your application form.  You will find a full list when you print off your form.

visit a branch

If you would like to speak to one of our specially trained mortgage staff face to face, you can visit one of our branches to complete your mortgage application process.  Simply contact your local branch to arrange a suitable time. It will save time if you bring the following information with you:

  • Proof of your name, for example a full UK passport or driving licence
  • Proof of your address, for example a bank statement, council tax or utility bill
  • Proof of your income, for example your payslips for the last three months and full address of your employer's wages department
  • If you are self employed, details of your accountant
  • Information on your credit commitments, for example personal loans or credit cards
  • Mortgage valuation fee, depending upon the mortgage product you have chosen

If the loan you are applying for is more than 60% of the value of the property, we will also need:

  • Mortgage or rent payment history, for example last mortgage statement or rent book
  • Last three bank statements
