Janice Lincoln, General Manager Finance & Risk
Janice Lincoln joined the Society as an Administration Clerk in 1976. A transfer to the Accounts Department followed when Janice became an Accounts Clerk. In 1980, Janice moved on to become a Senior Accounts Clerk and then two years later was promoted to Chief Accounts Clerk. Janice's career continued to flourish and further promotions in 1988 (Accounts Office Manager) and 1995 (Treasury and Finance Manager) followed. During this time Janice has been encouraged to study for further professional qualifications and qualified as an Associate of the Chartered Building Societies Institute in 1992. Janice continued with her learning and development programme and achieved the ACCA qualification in 2000.
In 2000 Janice was promoted to the role she currently holds, that of General Manager - Finance & Risk. In this role, Janice has responsibilty for managing the strategic risk of the Darlington Building Society Group. She also ensures compliance with relevant regulatory and prudential notes. Since 1995, Janice has been a member of the Society's Senior Management Forum, becoming involved with strategic decision making, setting the corporate objectives of the Society and being responsible to the Board of Directors.
