Bev Johnson, Special Projects Manager

Bev Johnson started her career as a part time cashier at our Middlesbrough branch in 1982. She then took the opportunity to go full time before being appointed Senior Clerk some years later. In 1990, Bev was promoted again, this time to Chief Clerk at our Redcar Office. Bev remained here until 1999, when she took the opportunity to return to her first branch, Middlesbrough, as Chief Clerk. During this time, Bev became one of the first Society staff to attain the CeMAP qualification. Bev's performance and potential was recognised when she was selected to participate in the Society's Management Trainee Scheme in 2001.

Towards the end of this year, Bev was promoted to the role she currently holds, that of Special Projects Manager. In this role, Bev has the responsibility of ensuring the Society's major projects keep on schedule, including the implementation of a new computer system for the Society and its branch network. With this role, Bev has undertaken the studying for PRINCE 2 and is now a registered practitioner for project management.
