Helen Forbes, Systems Department Manager
Helen Forbes started with the Society in July 1987 as a Mortgage Clerk and approximately 18 months later, she transferred to our Accounts Department as an Accounts Clerk. Successive promotions resulted in Helen becoming a Senior, then Chief Clerk of the Accounts Department and in 2001, she was appointed Accounts Officer. With support from the Society Helen began studying for the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) qualification and was successful in 2003.
During 2003, Helen was invited to become a key member of a new project team which was to oversee the implementation of a new computer system for the Society. As this project reached its successful conclusion, Helen applied, and was appointed to, the position of Systems Department Manager, responsible for the running of the newly formed Systems Department.
