darlington building society supports barnard castle christmas festival
Darlington Building Society has made a contribution to Barnard Castle Town Council in support of the Barnard Castle Christmas Festival celebrations.
The first event was held on Friday 27 November and was extremely well attended. It started with carol singing around the town’s Christmas tree accompanied by the Barnard Castle Brass Band. Additional activities included face-painting and crafts and Father Christmas was also present in his newly decorated grotto on Scar Top.
Darlington Building Society has maintained a branch in Barnard Castle for many years and was happy to support this event which will help to raise the spirits of Barnard Castle residents after a challenging twelve months for many businesses and individuals.
Wendy Bailey and Beverley Toole, Customer Sales Assistants at the Society’s Barnard Castle branch were pleased with the Society’s support of the Christmas Festival and said “We hope our contribution plays some small part in bringing a smile to the faces of local people, particularly children”.
They added “We would like to wish Barnard Castle Town Council every success in organising the Christmas Celebrations this year”.
