Guisborough Bridge Association

Guisborough Bridge Association

The Bridge is a small local charity that has grown and developed over nearly 20 years with an aim of serving our local area and meeting their needs in a caring and loving manner. Our projects split into two main areas: Community projects and Youth, Children and Family projects.

Our community projects range from: feeding those struggling via our FoodStop foodbank; a luncheon club for the elderly with armchair aerobics plus socialising and a three course meal; befriending opportunities at over coffee, soup lunches and Monday friends; plus providing support and first aid support to the late night/early hours Guisborough community via NightLight; a Christmas Day Meal; and work with those recovering from addictions.

With our Youth, Children and Family projects we have: Bridge2Youth, a youth group for teens and we have taken them away for two recent weekends; escape – an after school’s project working in the North Guisborough area; PSHE and RE sessions plus assemblies in schools; Get Set Go a monthly family and children activities session with a meal; Fun and Food4all a project to try and address the struggles that families have feeding children over the school holidays with fun for all; and Holiday Clubs, at half-term and we are just going All Aboard the Ark from 31st July-2nd August for lots of fun; and we are launching a new youth session [Footsteps on Sunday] on the 10th September for 10 to 14 year olds.
