I manage the IT function which is comprised of the Technical Support and Application Support teams. The IT department facilitates the day-to-day technology needs of the Society. We design and implement new technical solutions to enable more efficient working practices, alongside our support for bespoke financial services software packages.
I joined the Society in 2011 as an IT Engineer and subsequently promoted to Lead IT Engineer, Technical Services Manager and now IT Manager. I worked for North Yorkshire Police prior to joining the Society where I worked I in technical services and IT change management.
The department successfully facilitated the migration to a full cloud environment in 2018 moving our core infrastructure to highly secure and resilient sites. This is a great example of the initiatives the department looks to undertake to ensure a strong and secure technological platform for the Society.
