Paul Pimm

Treasury Manager

I manage the Treasury Function within the Society, ensuring that the Society’s investments remain safe and that they are available to meet our commitments as and when required.  In addition, a large part of my job is preparing budgets and forecasts to inform the Society’s strategy.

Having worked within Finance for over 15 years, I joined the Society in 2007.  Working with the Treasury Administrator and closely alongside The Finance Department, we help prepare and balance the Society’s financial accounts as well as providing management information for the Board and external regulatory bodies.

Our culture encourages a proactive approach and consequently in 2016, Treasury has been successfully segregated from the Finance team, to enable more focus on Treasury & Budget Management and Forecasting.  Going forward we will be looking to leverage this specialism into new opportunities for the Society.  The constantly changing regulatory environment and the Society needs make the Darlington an exciting & rewarding place to be.
