With more and more banks and building societies closing their doors, we want to reassure you that our place on the high street is standing strong.

At Darlington Building Society, we understand the importance of our face-to-face service and pride ourselves in providing a welcoming space for you to discuss your savings and mortgage needs. The Society has been committed to supporting members since 1856 and has no plans to stop.

As well as our commitment to keeping your local branch on your high street, we’re also committed in supporting the community of Barnard Castle through our Local 5 scheme. Our Barnard Castle branch supports local charities such as the YMCA, Quinn’s Retreat, Abbeyfield, Mental Health Matters and Angel Trust.

Amy Burney, Barnard Castle Branch Manager said; “We love being a part of the Barnard Castle community, and welcoming members from across Barnard Castle, Richmond and beyond.

Ensuring our members have a welcoming place to seek support with savings and mortgages is something we take a great deal of pride in. Our doors are open, whether you want to talk about your savings goals, or discuss your mortgage… pop in, we’d love to speak to you!”

Our Barnard Castle branch can be found at the Market Place, next door to Hoppers Jewellers. We are open 6 days a week, and if you can’t get down then simply get in touch and we will arrange a telephone appointment.

You can call our Barnard Castle Branch on 01833 631431or reach out to us via email at bcastle@darlington.co.uk.
