Who can open ISAs?

Everyone in the UK aged 16 or over are permitted to open an ISA but only in their sole name. You cannot open an ISA in joint names. You are able to open multiple ISAs but are often only allowed to deposit funds into one ISA per tax year (ask your provider for further details). Once you have deposited funds into one ISA in a tax year you are no longer able to invest in another ISA.
