‘Build The Future’ is the theme for National Apprenticeships Week 2022. Chloe Baldwin is a shining example of this philosophy at Darlington Building Society.
Just over a year since joining the Society as a Customer Service Assistant Apprentice, Chloe has already been promoted to a Trainee Customer Services Consultant.
Chloe is a passionate advocate of both apprenticeships and Darlington Building Society as an employer.
“I would 100% recommend the apprenticeship route. I’ve loved every minute of it.
“I honestly don’t think I would have had the opportunities I’ve been given without the apprenticeship. It’s helped me to develop in so many ways professionally. It’s really helped to build my confidence when dealing with customers.” said Chloe.
Chloe’s role mainly involves working at the Tubwell Row branch. She arranges appointments and opens accounts for members, and also supports the back-office function. Her role also enables her to support other branches when required.
The Level 2 apprenticeship has been delivered in partnership with Middlesbrough College, who assigned a tutor to keep in touch with the Society.
“It’s been so well organised, with such a lot of support every step of the way,” Chloe said.
Chloe’s ambition is to keep progressing with the Society, and hopes to go into a managerial role one day.
“Darlington Building Society is such an amazing employer and a lovely company to work for. Everyone helps each other and I couldn’t have asked for more,” she added.
