Darlington Building Society is continuing its relationship with Theatre Hullabaloo by sponsoring its autumn programme, which runs until the New Year.
The sponsorship forms part of a wider partnership, as the Society has agreed to donate £40,000 over a four-year period to help support the important work The Hullabaloo carries out.
As a registered charity, The Hullabaloo relies on donations and partnerships to deliver on its ambition to make the arts accessible to youngsters, particularly to those in deprived areas of the North East.
In addition to the theatre space itself, the community hub also offers interactive creative play spaces which are free for families to play in whenever The Hullabaloo is open, plus a café complete with cosy reading nook.
As part of the partnership, Darlington Building Society members can enjoy exclusive offers including buy-one-get-one-free tickets to the enchanting Christmas show, How to Catch a Star. The production is based on the best-selling Oliver Jeffers book. Ask in your local Darlington Building Society branch for more information, or email email@example.com
Louise Thorpe the Distribution Director at Darlington Building Society, has recently taken the Society’s community work into her remit. She said: “We are thrilled to be continuing our partnership with The Hullabaloo. This next phase – sponsoring The Hullabaloo’s autumn programme – enables us to share the benefit with our members, who can enjoy discounted theatre trips. With trips to the theatre off the cards for the past couple of years, we want to help bring the joy of the arts back to those in our region. Helping to combat loneliness and promoting togetherness is one of the core principles of our Community Strategy, and we see this partnership as a strong way to deliver on this, with tangible benefits to our members and to our hometown. Look out on our website and in branch for the latest offers.”
A representative at The Hullabaloo said: “We are delighted to be continuing our relationship with Darlington Building Society who share our commitment to ensuring that creative activities for local children and families are accessible to as many people as possible in our communities. The Hullabaloo is the only venue of its type north of London and it is wonderful to have it packed full of children and their families once more.”
