Our branches will be closed over the Jubilee weekendPublished: 5 May 2022

All nine branches will close for the jubilee weekend in June to allow colleagues to celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.

For clarity, this means that:

  • We will open as normal on Wednesday 1 June.
  • We will be closed from Thursday 2 June until Monday 6 June.
  • Any payments received after 3pm on Wednesday 1 June won’t appear in your account until Monday 6 June.
  • We will reopen as normal on Monday 6 June.

Louise Thorpe, Distribution Director at Darlington Building Society said:

“As the country marks the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee in June, we have taken the decision to remain closed for the duration of the Bank Holiday weekend.

“This gives our colleagues a well-deserved break, and an opportunity to share in the festivities. It’s been a tough couple of years for everyone, so it is wonderful to be able to celebrate something so positive in unison with the rest of the country.”

Online services will remain available throughout for members.

Members with any questions can get in touch with the Society online, via telephone or through our branch network. More information can be found here.
