Proving your ID by post

To comply with current legislation, we have to verify the identity of each applicant before we open a new account. This applies to new and existing members.

To do this we may use an electronic verification system. You must also provide us with certain documents.

If you open your account by post, we will accept good quality photocopies of documents.

If possible, please send us a copy of your:

  • Current valid full UK passport, AND
  • Current UK full, signed driving licence.

If you are unable to send both of these documents, please send either a copy of your driving licence or passport and choose one other document from the proof of address list.

If you cannot let us have any of these documents, please contact us on 01325 366366.

In certain circumstances we may need to ask you for further proof of identity before we can open your account.  We will contact you if we need to do this before we can open your account
